• Your messages: We store the chats and messages you send to agents or companies right through our system.
• Professional info: If you register as a pro, we collect your profile details, work credentials, and property listings.
• ID checks: Sometimes formal real estate deals require extra security. If needed, we might ask for identity verification documents.
• Payment details: If you buy a subscription plan, our third-party payment processors handle the billing details securely. We never store or see your credit card numbers on our own servers.

Things our system picks up automatically:

• Your IP address and the general city you are logging in from.
• The type of phone or computer you use, your web browser, and your operating system.
• What you do on the site—like pages you visit, homes you look at, searches you run, and features you click on.
• Where you came from before landing on our site, and how long you stayed.

Info from other places:

If you log in using social media, or if an agent invites you to the platform, we might get basic profile details from them. We protect that data just like the rest.

We use your data to run Makeen and keep it running safely. Here is what that looks like:

• Providing the service: We use your info to match you with properties and agents, save your settings, and help you talk to other users.
• Alerts: If you allow, we will send you updates about new property listings through email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
• Safety and security: We use data to verify real estate pros, catch fake listings, stop hackers, and look into user complaints.
• Staying in touch: We use your contact details to reply to your support questions, send system alerts, or email you our market reports if you asked for them.
• Following Pakistani law: We use and keep data to stay compliant with local laws, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and upcoming local data regulations.

We never use your data for targeted behavioral ads, tracking you across the web, or making automated choices that impact your legal rights.

We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information with outside companies.

Your info only goes to others in these exact situations:

• To connected agents: When you fill out a form to ask about a home, you are asking us to pass your details along. We send your name, phone number, and email to the verified agent or firm listing that property so they can call or message you back.
• To our tech vendors: We use a few trusted companies to help us run things—like cloud hosting, text messaging networks, email delivery, and analytics tools. They all sign strict privacy agreements and can only use your info for the exact job we hire them to do.
• For legal reasons: We will hand over data if a Pakistani court or government authority demands it under a valid law, like PECA 2016. If the law allows it, we will try to tell you before we share anything.
• Business changes: If Makeen ever merges with another company or gets bought out, your data will move to the new owner. We will send an email to registered users before this happens, and the new team has to follow these same rules.

We only hold onto your information for as long as it is actually useful. Here are our exact timelines:

If you ask us to delete your account, we clear your data within 30 days. If a specific law forces us to keep a file longer, we will explain that to you.

We use cookies to make the site work smoothly and remember your settings.

• Core cookies: These keep you logged in and keep your session secure. The site won't work without them, so you can't toggle them off.
• Analytics cookies: These show us anonymous patterns, like which pages load slowly, so we can fix speed issues.

• Stop marketing alerts: Opt out of promotional emails or phone texts by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any email or updating your account notifications.
• File a complaint: You can talk to data regulators in Pakistan if you believe we handled your personal details unfairly.
